# shotseq

> shotseq is a free, browser-based tool that turns a folder of photos into a video — no upload, no server, no account. It encodes H.264 (MP4) and VP9 (WebM) locally using the WebCodecs API, supporting 720p–4K at 24/30/60 fps with cut or crossfade transitions.

shotseq is local-first: everything runs in your browser. No images leave your device. Built with Astro and deployed on Cloudflare Pages.

Key capabilities:

- Drag-and-drop image sequencing with per-image duration editing
- Hard cuts or smooth crossfade transitions
- MP4 (H.264) and WebM (VP9) export up to 4K
- Aspect ratios: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 3:2
- Frame rates: 24, 30, 60 fps
- Supported inputs: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC
- Works in Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox
